The scarf is worked in 2x2 ribbing, meaning knit 2, purl 2, framed by edge stitches on both sides. Stitches are cast on corresponding to the width and worked to desired length. It is worked in two colours, colour A and colour B. Colour changes occur in every row except at the beginning and end of the scarf, where a solid colour edge is worked. As the colour changes, the scarf is slidden back and forth on the circular needle’s wire, depending on where the yarn end is. This way, you avoid breaking the yarn every time you change colour. The scarf is identical on both the right and wrong side.
