When done correctly, a good repair can breathe new life into an item and shift perception that tears, holes, and other imperfections diminish the value of finely crafted pieces.
Aiayu’s in-house repair specialists are experts in handling natural materials and offer you the opportunity to hand in or send any Aiayu piece in need of repair.
How to Get Your Aiayu Item Repaired
Location: The Aiayu
Market, Århusgade 145, Copenhagen.
Cost: DKK 195.
Process: Drop your
item off with a staff member for repair.
Service availability: Within Denmark and the EU.
Steps:
- Purchase repair shipping fee: Includes mending by our in-house tailor, a shipping label,
and return shipping costs. - Mark the damage: Clearly
mark the damage you want repaired and add notes with details. - Include documentation: Print the order confirmation and send it with your item using the
provided shipping label and include your preferred return address. Keep your
proof of shipment.
Yarn matching: We aim to match the yarn closely, but some repairs
may be visible.
Cleanliness: Ensure the item is clean before handing it in.
Unclean items will be returned at your expense.
Damage assessment: Some damage may not be repairable. Email photos of the item before shipping to ensure it can be repaired. Damage caused by moths for instance is something we are unable to repair to protect the surroundings of our store.
