twenty times around the sun – spring summer 2026 show

We celebrated our 20-year anniversary with our debut show at Copenhagen Fashion Week. A show that had been 20 years in the making. A celebration and reflection of time—a moment to look back at what was, and forward onto what would be. From falling in love with Bolivia and its llamas in 2005, launching with a small, carefully crafted knitwear collection, to slowly growing into a brand deeply rooted in natural materials and traditional craftsmanship.

“Celebrating our 20-year anniversary feels like the right moment to present our first show ever. We’re honoured to take part in Copenhagen Fashion Week and share our journey—two decades of stories, deep love for pure materials, and a belief in craftsmanship that connects us to something better. This show is our way of saying thank you for being part of it. A reflection of time, memories, and stories. What we believe in. How far we’ve come, and why we started in the first place.”

- Maria Høgh Heilmann, Founder and Creative Director

SS26 show

True to our beating heart for artisans and artists, we unveiled our show at the contemporary art gallery Nils Stærk in Copenhagen. The show was a hybrid installation and runway, celebrating our two decades, where natural materials and quiet technology came together to shape a shared space. The core of aiayu was told in the purity of the gallery, through soft projections of videos drawn from our brand archives and journey, showing the origins of our fibres and production in Bolivia, India, and Portugal.

The show was not just a presentation but a living archive: a reflection of time, memories, and stories. It was a statement of what we at aiayu believe in, while presenting our upcoming collection, rooted in our ‘materials-first philosophy’.
